Yoga would help, like the others said, but if this tension/anxiety is interfering with your life in a negative manner then you need medical/psychological help. It's possible you're suffering from a generalized anxiety disorder. You should talk to your doctor (doesn't have to be a mental health professional, your regular family physician can help and prescribe the medication, if needed) -- they can advise you whether or not this tension is "normal" or extreme. I think you should try other things before resorting to medication, though, so see if the yoga helps, meditate, listen to soothing music, take warm baths and try drinking some hot green tea. If it's possible, just pamper yourself and see if any of this helps. Good luck.

A balance in your life helps ease the stress--make time for friends, family, entertainment, and inspirational endeavors --besides work. Yoga nidra is an awesome way to unhook the brain. "Yoga Nidra is a unique meditation that gives practitioners an opportunity to reduce stress from the body by means of internal imagery and awareness. “Absolute rest” seldom happens in life, since even when one sleeps, the cerebellum receives a barrage of information from every single muscle and connective tissue cell in the body. Absolute rest can only be provided by practicing Yoga Nidra." Good luck!

Listen to music; close your eyes and count backward from 20; take deep breaths and listen to your breathing. There are many ways to relax inside your head. Just tell yourself you're not going to let anything get to you. In the whole big scheme of events in life, is it really worth sweating the small stuff?

Try taking St. John's Wort, available over the counter from Health Food shops. It takes a few weeks to kick in, but can work wonders for some.
