cats have to get rid of hair balls or they will die! Help your cat to do it if you love it. Give it vegetable oil every day over her food just a small amount, but if it seems she is getting sick a lot, that means she has one that is plugging up her digestive system already you need to get her to a vet. They have inexpensive over the counter hair ball remedy that will take care of it, after the initial problem is taken care of.

My cats have this problem- I brush them everyday, or so to remove hair, and then give them something called "Petromalt". Its a hairball remover that comes in a tube. My cats really like it, one will come running when he sees me holding it.
Thier are other hairball remover products out there, that work the same way, so whatever brand you use, should be fine.
But Hairballs can be dangerous- so you should take care of it immediatly

I strongly recommend that you take your cat or kitten to the vet. He or she will be able to examine your cat and give you something to help your cat get rid of it's hairballs. Or you could look into what Dr's Foster&Smith has on the internet. They have some good products for hairballs. But I wouldn't see what they have first. Take your cat to the vet, there may be something else wrong with your cat that you are not aware of. Hairballs are dangerous and could kill or make your cat very sick.
Good luck with your cat! Pets are wonderful creatures to give us humans companionship and friendship.

hair balls are something that they cam throw up or poop out. i noticed my cat was throwing up every time she ate and no hairball. then i noticed she had not pooped in three days, so i took her to the vet. $300.00 later and 1 week in the hospital, i was told she had a hairball lodged in her system that she couldn't get out. now once a week, i put a couple of drops in her cat food, and she has no problems passing them. hope this helps.a couple of drops of mineral oil. also, brush her alot, this will help cut down on the amount of hair she is getting in her system
