Dusty, pale brown... I've been there. Can't call it blue or gray, they are both calm and relaxed colors. Depression is like perpetually being at the end of autumn. Things you recognize that should be full of life, aren't. The grass, the leaves, pale shadows of once known glory. You can't even capture hope, because you know winter must come before the green will return.

To be honest with ya, I'm not so sure you could label depression by any color. When you're in a state of depression, you simply don't feel much of anything. BLUE and GRAY are just terms for feeling sad. Depression is much worse....and not much matters. There is no color on this earth that can describe that feeling.

It wouldn't even be a color. It's the shade of grey, because part of the time life is bearable, and other times it is off the hook. I associate grey with indefinable boundaries--sometimes depression is like that.
