I think your argument is with God, who wrote the commandment. He does indicate in other scriptures that idol worshippers would be punished. This is the text of the judaic-chirstian religion. While this may be the view of these scriptures, why would hindus and buddhists even care what it says? Don't they have their own beliefs? So to answer your question, according to judaic-chirstian teaching, those of other faiths, especially based in idol worship who do not accept the one true God, will not be in heaven. But according to the beliefs of hindus and buddhists, this is not true.....if you are either hindu or buddhist, and this bothers you, make an informed choice in what you believe, and then be at peace with your decision. It is really up to the person where he is going.... God only acts on that choice...

First of all, GOD is English for the Creator of Heaven and Earth, the Spirit of Love, Holiness, and Peace.

Buddhists don't speak english, so they called GOD = TIAN (sky) The One who Creates the Heaven and Earth. In some texts, they called God "The Light" (that enlightens their mind) and "The Way" (DAO / TAO). And guess what? In Christianity Jesus (son of God) is the Light and the Way.

Can't people see, we all worship the same Great Spirit of God? People just use different names to describe him according to their own languages.

Although, Buddhists and Hindus also worship idols (small gods) ontop of worshipping God. The Jews also worshipped idols long ago, but was banned because they strayed away from God Himself.

The Commandments were written by Moses in order to control and manipulate a tribe of primitive savages wandering through the desert. Moses invented Jehovah or Allah or God the Father, what ever you want to call him, in order to achieve his political goals of invading and conquering other tribes. Moses knew that superstitious, gullible fools were willing to kill and be killed for a 'higher authority'. Nothing has changed. Pagan Roman Emperor Constantine used the same trick to conquer Europe and GWB is again using religion as an instrument to pursue his political agenda.

The First Commandment as taught to me in the Lutheran Church says, "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me."

Nowhere, in any of the Commandments I learned in all my years of Sunday School, Confirmation Class, and church--did any commandment say that anyone was going to burn in hell.

The first commandment does not say, you will burn in Hell. It says, you shall have no other gods before me(God). Yes, further on, the Bible does say that those who don't believe in God/Jesus/Holy Spirit will go to Hell. I won't apologize for believing what the Bible says, because the first commandment for Christians is to love God with all our heart & soul, and the second is to love our neighbors as ourselves.Meaning to love everyone~we don't have to love what they do, just them. After all, Christ died & rose again for everyone's sins, not just mine. My sin is what caused His death, along with everyone elses', so I have no way to cast blame on someone else. I just to get to share the Good News, that we don't have to work our way to Heaven, just believe in Jesus.
Besides that, it's not just Christians, the 1st commandment was given to the Hebrews(Jews) as they left Egypt.

The first commandment was given by God to Moses. At
that time there were NO CHRISTIANS on the planet. You gotta
do better than that.

Thats true, christians do feel other religions must be burnt.

Updated:-

Judging from the answers below, seems like christians have got frustrated by exposing the truth. Christians do hate the truth that reveals their atrocious views about other religions.

You need to figure it out pal. Your argument should be with the One who wrote the Bible. Don't pick on others because you do not like what God said
