my male cat peed on my wife's sandles, how can I get rid of the stink?

I s'pose most answeres are worth trying before throwing them away. Most importantly is to find out why he peed on the sandles. My cat was sick. A closer look revealed blood in the urine. Wash them with soap and leave them out in the sun until the smell goes away.

i would throw them away. but if you really want to save them, AMMONIA. this will get rid of male urine and hwen they spray. along with dog urine. my male cat sprayed on my bed, and with ammonia it came right out!!
