Out of all the remakes I have seen..... this one by far is the best... next to 'Amittyville Horror'! It is JUST like the original, the only difference is the fact that the colors POP! In the original, with the time it was made, the colors were not as bright and vibrant. Oh and I think the way the symbol 666 looks is different too...... but it looks better! I loved it!! I grew up with the original and I loved that movie..... so naturally you would think that the remake would suck.... WRONG!! It was great... you should go and see it!!!! :)

Remakes are *always* worse than the originals (eg. The In-Laws, The Stepford Wives, etc.). The original Omen (all three of them, in fact) sucked more than an industrial strength vacuum. How Sam Neill's career survived "Omen 3", I'll never know.

Speaking of sucking remakes, the original "Poseidon Adventure" was also freaking awful. What's next, a "Towering Inferno" remake? Or an "Airport 75/76/77/78/79" remake with Osama hijacking planes?

The only remake I have ever seen part or in whole that was not infinitely worse than the original was the Jason Robards version of "Inherit The Wind", but considering the quality of the first version (Spencer Tracy, Gene Kelly, and cast of who's who) the Robards version pales in comparison.

Not that I believe movie revieweres, but the headline in the local arts magazine said, "Remakes are bad Omens".

For me nothing will beat the time when I saw the original Omen (on TV) as a kid, who still went to church and still believed the bible's prophecies about the beast. I was scared shitless!!

saw it and it was ok , i liked the ending but i think as usual as any other remake , is not as good as the original, it has some flaws whe it come to accurancy as far as the Ambasador residence being empty all the time just 2 guards in the front gate, but then again if you dont know much of how the embassys work, you probably would not notice , it has couple of good scares , that's about it

Almost all of the reviews I have read say it is not good at all. However, I think you should wait until someone you trust goes and tells you. I have often disagreed with the reviews and these days tend to make my own mind up.

Everyone compares the movie with the original. If you have not seen the original you might like it.
