Because the good people are the ones who can handle it better than the bad people. Bad people want revenge and to get even because they think the world or God "owes" them, the good people have a heart and understanding spirit and willing to accept the things they cannot change.

Because this flesh life is a testing ground.
Did you know no one has perished yet not even Satan.
It's hard to not to think carnally because we dwell in a flesh body.
But this flesh existence is minuscule compared to eternity.
Sow to your spirit by studying God's Word which is His Spirit.
When you understand more you find death is not a bad thing because we return unto the Father.
Ecc 12:6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.
Ecc 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Try to think of it like an electrical charge. Good is positive, bad is negative. There has to be a balance. One can not exist without the other. Who could say what is good if there is no bad to compare it against.

Things happen to everyone whether good or bad. There cannot be ocean without water & waves. At times the waves could be dangerous. But majority of time they are cool.
Good bad and ugly are here to stay. It's only our attitude to be with any of them.

If you believe in reincarnation and Karma (as I do), then the answer is that the "good" person is either being spiritually tested in order to learn some important life lesson that will lead to their ultimate spiritual growth OR the "good" person is repaying some debt that he/she incurred by doing something very bad in a previous life. In either case, the person's spirit chose this life/incarnation in order to accomplish one of those two goals.

Look up Job. Job asked God the same question. And God's reply: "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?" Job 38:4 Job never got his answer striaght forward. If you read these last chapters of Job you might find some understanding. I'll be praying for you.

Because bad people make bad decisions that affect others. We cannot blame God for the wrong decisions of evil people.
