Of course. Jesus wore sandals, and they think he had a beard and long hair. Any place that calls themselves a church should welcome someone, regardless of what they are wearing. Man may look on the outside, but God looks on the heart.

I am not Christian, any more, but at the time of Christ, all were dressed like you mention! Why should anyone forbids entrance to the house of god to one child especially when all have icons like you describe?
In "my" church, clothes do not matter! What I see is the person beneath the clothes, the spirit behind the body!

All are welcome in Gods house and family. I went to church this morning wearing my jeans with a hole in in knee and a Holden top...in summer my tattoo shows and when I speak you can see my tongue pierced.
Dont worry the church wont fall down when you walk in the door, but heaven will be cheering you on!!

I'm a greek orthodox christian and our Archbishop said a few yeaars ago: "Come to the church as you are, you are wlcome if you believe" Appearence has little to do with faith.

I am baptist and our church definitely welcome you or anyone regardless of what you believe and what you wear...as long as you are decent enough.
