Each person has different dietary requirements, rtegardless of age. But if she has visible fat at age four and you cant see the definition of her ribs when she stretches her arms upward then she is probably carrying around to much weight. But if she is eating like a horse, but exercising a great deal and apparently not gaining fat, then she should be fed what her body needs. It is NEVER OK for a child of 4 to have a "little root-beer belly" If you don't establish a healthy weight now and healthy eating practices now, then chances are overwhelming that the child will have weight problems throughout life. Your child's weight is one of your biggest responsabilities, you wouldn't let them eat lead paint so why would you let them poison themselves with obesity?
