I've been in a relationship for 2 years with a great guy whom i've always been very close too. But after living together for 1 year, we started a long distance relationship and it's been like that for 9 months, seeing each other about once a month. We still have another year to go.. I feel that my feelings have diminished, maybe because i'm getting used to living apart. We're spending all summer together now though, and i have told him all about my confusion. It seems that we're on the verge of breaking up.All i want to do is to get my feelings back,he's a great person,i just want to love him again. Any advice?

I had the same feeling even though I see my bf almost every day.And I asked almost the same question here and someone told me to do all I can to bring that love back.Just remember what you used to do , do the same you did when you were in love , bring back in your life the things that made you to fall in love with him.It worked for me... Good luck!
Don't listen people telling you "Long distance relationships NEVER work".It's not true!!!Where it's love anything is possible!

It might not be so much being apart which has changed your feelings - it could simply be that you are growing and maturing - it happens. That is one reason why very young people should not marry - they are still growing, changing, and maturing and that deep love that is there when they marry, could easily change in a short period of time. I know you did not mention about getting married - it was just an example.

I am sorry to say that if your feelings for him are going, then it is time for you both to move on. Not all relationships are meant to last forever - and sometimes a relationship is a stepping stone for something else to come along - so this relationship is coming to an end.

If he agrees, you could both still be friends - but that might be a strain.

It is best to follow your heart and your sixth sense - move on and find someone and he will do the same - for you both deserve the very best that life has to offer.

Good Luck to you both!

IM SORRY FOR YOUR PROBLEM, IT IS TRUE LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP ARE DIFFICULT TO MAINTAIN, UNLESS

YOU BOTH HAD LOVE, AND STRONG GOALS AND DREAMS TO LOOK FORMWARD TO IT USUALLY FIZZLES OUT,,]

DOES HE FEEL THE SAME, ARE YOU BORED NOT BEING WITH ANYONE?
or are YOU SPENDING TIME WITH OTHER MEN WHILE YOU ARE APART?

is he?

TO GET YOUR FEELINGS BACK, YOU PROBABLY JUST LET THEM FADE,
THEY SAY ABSENCE MAKES THE HEART GROW FONDER...?

NO,, I THINK IT IS OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND,,

IF YOUR FEELINGS ARE GONE, THEN "YOUR LOVE AND FEELINGS JUST WERE STRONG ENOUGH TO HOLD ON,,, AND WAIT,

SO DONT BE HARD ON YURSELF, BUT BE KIND, AND HONEST WITH THIS PERSON,,

GOOD LUCK,
I THINK LOVE FOR A PERSON ROMANTICALLY DOES NOT JUST GO AWAY OR FADE, UNLESS IT WAS MEANT TO BE THAT WAY,,,

hey, u cant force yourself to love someone, or have feelings for them. if your heart refuses to feel em, then that is really it - you could probably try not seeing or speaking to him for a whole week (no calls/messages, anything) and see if you feel any attraction then. if not, i'm sorry but it's time to move on

you claim that you are the one with diminished feelings from living apart.
so stop living apart, it's ruining the relationship.

That is a loooong time away! No wonder you are drifting away. Thats no way to be. Why can't you just go join him?
