The Da Vinci Code.?

Question

What are your views on the Da Vinci Code? Is it for real? Do you think that there is a family line still in existance in regards to Jesus and Mary? Can you imagine the consequences of being related to Jesus Christ? What happened to all of the people that died before Jesus was born? If they had no idea about Heaven, then where did they go?

I dont think The Da Vinci Code is the real deal! Some of it may be true but i think that all the ideas of Mary Magdelene and Jesus being married and having a child isnt true! For one this movie is fiction and for another nothing, this is not mentioned in the bible! Of course it may be true and it could be the worlds biggest cover up, but there really isnt really anyway to find out the truth anymore! Over the years the true facts of jesus have probably been adjusted! But for now there isnt really anyway to find out! Besides all this confusion about whether The Da Vinci Code is for real, i thought it was an excellent movie!

I loved the story, both the book and movie were very entertaining, fun. However, I don't believe what it says. If Jesus had descendents, they would have been known by now. The Bible says nothing of Jesus' marriage, and if Jesus was married, at least ONE of the gospel authors would have included that in their accounts, right? Makes sense to me.

If Jesus had descendents, then their lives would be scrutinized SO MUCH, and they'd be expected to lead exceptionally moral lives.

As for being offended by this story, I wan't at all and wish people would see that it was just a story. It was great fun.

Btw, people have always had an idea about Heaven, not only post-Jesus but pre-Jesus.

It's not true. If Jesus was married it would have been included in the Bible.

Not only that, but why the heck when God have scarificed Him for us if he had a family? What would have been the point of Him coming down here in the first place? To get married and live happily ever after on Earth for the rest of his natural life?

There has always been a Heaven.

Now this is my own opinion...but through research in the Bible over the last few years I have read that we are of course all judged in the End. If you never knew who God was He will judge you accordingly I guess to your purpose of life and good deeds, etc.

We don't know for sure until we meet our own End.

They'd be amazing to everyone on the planet...if it were true.

However, to the person who finds out that he is a decendant of Him, you'r expectations would become...ahem...a helluva lot higher. Even though we would be so far removed from the genetics of Jesus, there's still that little bit.

Although if there was (which I doubt), it'd be better for everyone if he/she were kept secret. Opus Dei, or whoever it's supposed to be, should continue to do their job.

It' not true. I watched a documentary show on "Discovery" and they proved that the 99% of things Den Brown said isn't true. Even Den Brown admitted that he made it up and created the great story.

between true facts and sound fiction.

Dan Brown himself is a self-proclaimed Christian. He said that the book is a total fiction. Even if you decode his DaVinCi code it says: MORON (really!).

They can prove this one way or another with Genetics.
They can map DNA back to biblical times so why don't they?
