when you got born again, it was the real you (your spirit) that got saved...not your mind, will, emotions and not your body....so you will tend to gravitate back to the old you unless you renew your mind with the Word of God....get into a good Bible based church (i suggest you stay away from denominational churches) and begin a DAILY Bible study/prayer time. get up early if you have to, it is very, very important. go to rhema.org , there you will find a link to search for a church in your area.....God Bless.

Along with what everyone else has said, I would add:
Try to get a regular time for prayer and reading your Bible, which you will keep to every day, however you feel. Give it your best time of day, when you feel most awake and fresh. It's important not to allow your moods to dictate whether or not you will pray or read the Bible. If you feel dry during your prayer time, never mind. Think of the Lord's miracle at Cana: we are like the servants who fill up the water jars, but only the Lord can turn the water of our efforts in to the wine of pure prayer. God bless you!

Is this to do with your confidence,
If you think you are going down the wrong road then at least you recognize the fact which should show that from your stand point there is a wrong road.
To have wrong road you must know the right road, am I going in circles, do you see what I mean. Most people go wrong but don't even know it until it is to late. To realize ones mistakes and to recognize them gives you the chance to correct them.

Two bishops were discussing the decline in morals in the modern world.

"I didn't sleep with my wife before I was married," said one clergyman self-righteously, "Did you?"

"I don't know," said the other. "What was her maiden name?"

OOOH- Been there. Pray about it. Remember the loving feeling and peace that you felt. Sometimes it's harder because it is said that satan tries harder to make you stumble and fall. Don't let it happen. I let my guard down and it got bad! A relationship with God takes nurturing just like any other relationship. Could you ignore a boyfriend and expect it to last? Ask God what you can do for him everyday and he'll point you in good directions. Please don't give up on him. God Bless!

you really have to decide within yourself where you want to be and what you need to get there. is god a big part of our lives? yes definitely, what keeps you going back to where you don't want to be? is it people, an addiction or not knowing how to step in the right direction? Talk to a priest, pastor or someone who you really really trust. also don't forget god himself, say a prayer and ask for guidance. good luck

Hello dear!
Well, if you are loosing your faith in god, it does not mean you are backsliding!
On the contrary, you are using your logic, mind more! And in every religion, thus every god, requires from people to use their brain, thus, you are nor backsliding but going forward and upward!
