Jesus (YESHUA) was born a Jew. HE went to the Temple not the Church. The name Church came well after the Ascension of Jesus. As a committed Christian I believe if I meet up with a group of Christians in Jesus' NAME we are having Church (even when we don't meet in the Church building). Jesus said that where two or three are gathered in HIS NAME HE shall be in their midst. (So HE goes to Church often.) At that time when HE walked the Earth in a human body HE went to the Temple according to the specifications of the laws in Judaism.
I hope this helps.

In the bible it says on numerous occasion's Jesus went to the church and prayed and was also preaching in the church. But I believe you do not have to go to church to be a christian

Jesus went to Church every Sabbath(Saturday)
He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read. Luke 4:16
What is a custom is it something you do every once and a while or is it consistent?
Here are other examples
Going on from that place, he went into their synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, they asked him, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?" Matthew 12:9,10
They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach. Mark 1:21
When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were amazed. Mark 6:2
He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read. Luke 4:16
Then he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath began to teach the people. Luke 4:31
On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues Luke 13:10

At 12 he was in the temple and his mother and father couldn't find him. He went into a temple and over turned a table, and called them a den of theifs. Jesus went most of his time traveling and have "Like revivals" They came out to him and or he went to them and he preach to them that way.
Why you ask, because they was using temple for business and King was not wanting the real truth in their temple, because they was afraid they would lose being kings and lose the positions.

The bible is not clear on this, but surely he went often enough to butt heads with church leaders. It is clear he did not approve of what the church was doing at the time and they eventually killed him for it.
