Use Mane N' Tail horse conditioner in your hair. Leave it in every other night or so and wash it out in the morning. It's AMAZING. I dyed my hair *once* and it was so fried it would break off. That stuff made it silky again.

Cut out hair dryers and as many chemicals as you can.
Use hot oils, they help but I have very long hair and coloured and I haven't got dry hair and the one thing I've always done is use lots of conditioner Pantene is definately the best and I will leave on hair for about half an hour before rinsing off. I do this a couple of times a month.
Now and again (exceedingly good for coloured/bleached hair) leave to get dirty so builds up natural grease. Our monthly cycle helps out there with the hormone changes but it helps to nourish the hair. Too much washing can dry, as can straighners etc.
Another thing, if very long hair, get a spray bottle (buy a new) and make up a solution of a few drops of conditioner with water and spray unto the hair, especially on the ends.
You can buy many products to protect the hair but I find using none best but we are all different so just choose carefully and do tests with what you aren't sure of. Skin tests on inner wrist and cut a few strands from head for hair test.

The key to good hair is nutrition. Take a multivitamin and Vitamin E capsule daily. Eat a decent amount of protein and gelatin for strong hair, and cook with canola oil for shiny hair.
I have dry, frizzy hair and use Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine shampoo and conditioner. It really helps. I use the Sleek & Shine Fortifying Deep Conditioner on my hair once a week. You could go to beauty supply store and look around for a deep conditioner. The sales assistant should be able to give you some advice.
I also suggest using either shea butter, olive oil, or coconut oil on your hair every week. Leave one of those on overnight, and wash it out in the morning. Coconut oil is great stuff -- it actually stengthens your hair and adds much needed moisture. You can find coconut oil in a natural food store or online.
Have you dyed or straightened your hair? Do you blow dry your hair on a regular basis? Doing any of these will definitely dry your hair out. Straightening your hair will make it temporarily look nicer, but it will damage your hair.
I know this sounds like a lot, but this really has helped my parched hair. I hope it helps yours too. :)

I have this problem too. All you can do is keep experimenting with products. I used the Biolage products when I was in the States, unfortuately I can't find them here in Germany. Another good thing to do is go and get your hair deep conditioned at a hair salon. Another thing I did was buy those plastic shower caps, they are cheap and come 3 or 4 to a packet. After you shampoo, put plenty of conditioner, then a plastic shower cap. Continue with the rest of your shower, then when you are done rinse your hair.

The best remedy I have used is eggs and lime. But don't use it before you head out on a date as it will take time to work. If you want to try it use this combination: 2 Whole eggs whipped, 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil and 1 tablespoon of Lime Juice. Mix all three ingredients and leave on hair for 20-30 min. (Adding heat helps to penetrate). The lime is optional---perks up curls really well on curly hair. Shampoo hair twice and rinse thoroughly. Try it, you will love me for it.

Make sure you're eating a healthy varied diet to nourish your scalp and hair from within, use rich moisturising shampoos and conditioners, a deep intensive conditioner every week and be careful when you blow dry your hair, dont rough it up with a towel, pat and squeeze dry and blow dry with a round brush to make your hair shine

Don't blow dry/straighten. Let it to dry naturally. Also make sure u got a healthy diet and especially plenty of water. Try using Garnier for dry hair or TreSemme.

sounds silly bassically use olive oil leave it on for a bit then wash out also rinse hair with moisturising conditioner and with cold water this will leave it shiny and keep its natural greasyness, dont wash haire ever day as it takes out all the nutrients.if you use a conditioner then leave it in for 5 mins before rinsing let it penertrate and use a good one
