I believe in organized religion. God has a message to give to us, which He does through His Messengers. If we were left to go willie nillie, we'd have nothing!
God sends His Words to us via the Messengers. These Messengers found His religions. They are all one religion (the monotheistic ones), UNFOLDED OVER TIME.
He always has a Messenger for us, He never abandons us.
Organized religion is not a plague, sin is a plague. Organized religion is a balm, a guide, a healing, a life.
I am a Baha'i. We gather and worship, we pray, and we do charitable works. We do not have clergy. Everyone is responsible for his/her own spiritual development. Education is becoming more and more universal, so more and more people can read for themselves instead of being told what the scriptures say. Clergy is no longer needed in this world.
Btw, the Baha'is have no splits, no sects. We are ONE.

I don't believe in organized religion...I believe that each person was given a Bible for their own self edification and study and that it should be consumed as one would partake of a meal..not hand fed in nibbles an bites by a pastor who barely understands it. As far as the assembling ourselves together...this I do believe in, for praise, worship and fellowship with one another..but not housed in 40 million dollor buildings with sound systems to rival a rock band and a barista bar...I just don't get that...I believe in benevolence and tything..but if the congregation you attend doesn't commit those funds to the relief efforts of the community in need then the money should be give directly to those charitable agencies where it can be seen doing some good. I think "church" has gone way beyond what was intended by the early founders of the Church of Christ and pulpit preaching has strayed so far from the Bible in an effort not to bore or offend members..its crazy. No I don't believe in organized religion...I think we all outta get together in a great big field somewhere, sing our selves horse, read from the Word of God and pray without ceasing on the true Sabbath. Sorta like Woodstock only without the drugs and everybuddy keeps their clothes on. Man, that would be awesome. Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

Organized religion. That’s an oxymoron right? The divide at the ongoing Southern Baptist convention in N.C. is akin to a war! How many divisions are there in each the catholic, protestant, Jewish and Islamic sects? With that kind of organization the Pagans are right to stand back and watch.

I think a lot of messed up things have happened because of it, so I refuse to personally assign myself any organized religion. However, I support people completely if they choose to do so, without hurting or trying to convert anyone. While still accepting that others have every right to believe something different, and not judge them. Which is a hard thing to do- but some manage it.

Organized, by traditions of men? NO Pure religion, from God? YES
(Jam 1:26) If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
(Jam 1:27) Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
(Isa 58:9) Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
(Isa 58:10) And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:

It is comparable to a plague, or like mad cow disease, in that it detroys the brain and cannot be cured with convential means. The only way to stop mad cow disease is to remove the infected source of ingestion.
