You didn 't mention if the other party is also in love with you. That premise is very crucial. If it's only you who's in love, then forget it. Find someone else who will love you. But if both of you are in love with each other, then it's a more complicated story. It's so easy for the others to say to just leave him. It's not as easy as that. Love is a force of nature. When you get hit by it, there's no way you can stop it. If you don't pursue it, youre gonna regret it the rest of your life. But if you do, there will be people getting hurt. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I suggest that you just continue on as special friends, and let fate decide its course.

Think about why you want that person. Is it just because they are unavailable or a challenge? Either way, you are wrong to pursue it.
If it is meant to be there will come a time when you are both involved/unattached to other people & you can get together at that time. In the meantime, don't sit around pining for them. Go out & meet other people. You just might find someone better & forget all about them!

wish them well and move on .Don't tell them you love them or it makes things more complicated. You have to try and move on ,there are many people who live there hole lives in love with some one they cant have ,It is difficult but you have to move on. My friends mum true love died from a motor cycle accident 2 weeks before her wedding when she was 19.She is 75 now and still loves him as much now as she did then , But she has got married and had kids , She loves the guy she married but had fallen in love with the first. Bad things happen

I'm in this situation right now. You suffer and get down, but try get on with life and keep busy. It's the hardest thing I've ever had to do I think. I now believe in all the stuff like "Love at first sight" and "The one that got away" and all that stuff i used to think was garbage.

I try to occupy myself with friends ans family and hope it will take my mind off it. I sorry to say that there really is not much you can do other than hope your feelings will go away.
However, there is one thing to remember, while you are wasting time on wanting someone you cant have you are ignoring the possibility of finding someone who wants you!

Good Luck!

First of all i would explore all possibilities about having them but if there is no way you can have any kind of relationship with them then you need to move on. No point wasting anymore time thinking 'what could have been' with them. If you continue wondering about a relationship with them you will wreck any kind of future relationship with anyone else. You will have your memories. It could be maybe you cant have each other for now but in the future things could look different.

I've been in that situation for a while now and the only way I cope is to accept that It's not going to be easy, that it's going to take time. Don't expect too much of yourself too soon. I'm told it gets easier with time x
