My personal method is to soak up all the negativity like a sponge, and then go off in a corner and cry and feel really sad and beaten down. NOT that I advise anyone to do this! Up until now, that is seriously what I have done. Now I'm trying to deal with it in a more sensible way. One thing is I am trying to not hang around where negativity is rampant if I can avoid it. For example, if people on Yahoo Answers are being negative, I just turn it off. If I see a headline for a really gruesome story, I don't read all the details or else the images will stick in my mind and disturb me. I try to spend time around positive people.
When I cannot avoid being around negative people, then I try to listen to them in a different manner than I would listen to positive people. That is, I hear what they are saying but I try not to internalize it. I just say to myself, "Oh that's just So-and-so talking the way So-and-so always talks." I use a low-level perception with what they say.
But when I hear positive words, I really try to take it to heart and spend time thinking about what they said. So spend your time thinking of the positive things that were said, and ignore the negative.

Personally the way I deal with it is to focus on positive Bible scriptures like Revelation21:4,Isaiah11:6-9 Job33"25,Isaiah35:5&6 and try to work out how different things will be compared to today when these things comeand how much relief there will be to all the suffering it is hard to stay focused by looking at the negative situation in the world which exists now, but to focus on what God is about to bring about shortly can have a relieving effect on this negativity now I have found also to focus on the blessings we have helps tooespecially being thankfull for the blessingsthankfulness is good for our soul and being and it helps us to concentrate on ytje positive which inturn makes us feel the relief so to speakJust to give you some idea as to where I'm coming from I had 3 strokes 3 years agoand because of that I am paralyzed on the left side of my bodythat is very hard to deal with and get used to, but I'm managing with God's help, and I thank him very much for the help he has given me to cope. Even my sister in law my Brother's wife said to me about a year after the strokes, she said "you have every reason to whinge in your situation" but ,she said :"you don't you just live life like it doesn't matter!"That was coming from one who doesn't believe in God so being positive works for me I never said why me or anything like that because why not me why someone else, I wouldn't wish it on anyone!Yes you are right there is a lot of suffering, that's true but what else is true too is that a lot of times the suffering we bring upon ourselvesstill it is not a matter of blame but how we deal with it, we can blame things or people,or we can get on with living the best way we can in our situation at the time.and the latter is the way that can help us to copewith life the way it is.

Dont proclaim to know what suffering is, you cant possibly know the infinite ways people suffer, and you sure as hell dont know its only a state of mind. How do you deal with the negativity, stop smoke a blunt or get faded, live a life of your own you sheep.

Other people's negativity is more of their problem than yours. Focus on living your own life and appreciate the good things in it. Don't bother too much about others. That's their lot to deal with.

Think about the positive things in life. If you focus too much on the negative you'll go crazy. "Zone out" sometimes and watch tv.
If you truely want to make a difference, then volunteer somewhere. You can gain happiness knowing you helped someone else.

Well his work is mysterious, but let me ask you something that help me to understand. Did you feel sorry for all the people that died in hurricane Katrinia? Did you say prayers for the people and family members? Did you wish them all to be ok?
I hope you are a person that did, and God want us to Praise and worship him right? Pray for one another, help one another, depend on one another when something like this happens Right?
Well for rape, that was hard for me, I had to learn over time to forgive the man that did that to me when I was 10, it took years and time but I have forgave him. I learned that people do make terrible mistakes, sometime out of lust, sickness, mental illness ect and some do know better, some don't, but my part was to forgive.
God made us to praise and worship him, and when we get lazy, or don't he get upset. We are children, and like our parents did have to teach us, God has to teach us. WE are children in Christ. He is our Father, when me make a mistake, he is their to help us, and he CAN even punish us for a mistake we did.
Remember someone that just started reading the bible and just starting out with God, is like going to First grade, you will slowly understand, the more you study the more you will learn and grow.
Remember God only gave us what he wanted us to know in the bible it for us to have faith in him, we are not on his level, we can never be even close as our Lord Jesus, so we will never know it all...

You could kill all the people who annoy you or agitate for legislation against them so that they are out of your sight and you can feel comfortable in your false world.
Clean the streets of suffering people and shove them away somewhere so you can get of with developing your precious spirituality...there are so many ways to get rid of annoying people.
Hitler tried to get rid of Jews and gays and gypsies...cleansing programmes sound like what you are after...
Believer or fascist...I can never tell these days.
