Why can a guy (ie. myself, 19 yrs old, college student) that women think is attractive, not be able to get a date for the life of him. Im a nice guy, girls think im hot, but for some reason i just cant get a date with someone that I am interested in. And the times i do get a date with someone im genuinely interested in, it either goes horrible or its a "no-show". I think it might be because they think im experienced and i know how to play games, but im about as naive as a three year old. Help me

Dude, I sometimes have the same problem.

I think it's because I choose the wrong people for the wrong reasons. I wanted to change who I am and be a better man, but my choices are all the same.

It all comes back to ME.

Is it possible that the girls you know not not the ones who are looking for a nice, intelligent guy? Maybe they are more interested in superficial things. If I were you I'd broaden my horizons. "Go to another part of the lake to fish." Maybe join a club or do some volunteer work for something you believe in. I think you may be glad that you did. First of all, you'll be contributing something of value to the world, AND......the icing on the cake is.....you may meet someone who is worth getting to know. Be yourself, kiddo. That is always the best way to be. Good luck to you, friend.

When you are nervous it shows and that will make the opposite sex feel a bit nervous or sometimes even scared because they don't know the reason you are nervous! Relax, laugh, have fun and celebrate life! You'll see things will get better in a couple of years. The main thing is just be yourself! before going out stand and look in a mirror and smile! keep smiling think positive and go have some fun!

As a 23-year-old man, I understand your pain. That is why I don't date at all. Not that I would not like to have a wife someday, but that I am not interested in getting my heart torn apart by wolves in the process of looking for the right one. I suggest a book that has done me much good: I Kissed Dating Goodbye, by Joshua Harris. You can get it from amazon.com.

If you want to have a nice date, stop thinking what girls think about you, or how do you look like."Be your self, no matter what they say". Trust me - i'm 24, and i have about million dates on my back, but i fell in love with the man who was not triing to impress me.

lol...naive as a 3y/o?? give me a break..

maybe you're just asking the wrong girl or it's called "barking the wrong tree" (?)...don't worry, it's not you who has problems...maybe they're just not that interested....believe me someone will come along...why not concentrate of befriending the girl(s)...maybe that'll put them at ease..

good luck!

It could just not be the right time.
I beleive that everybody has the right time in their life to find that special person. It could not be the right time.
Or you could be looking in the wrong places.

thats so wierd to me, because in ireland, we dont date, we just "arrange" hang out with friends, thats always been the way, and it saves any embarrasment, because you dont feel any pressure to do anything. me and my fiance got together by meeting up and hanging out with friends in bars and clubs, maybe you should try something like that?
