It's not their fault if they're deaf.Every person is born as they are! It's just foolish and Evil to consider people dumb because of how they're born.We don't get choices when we're born.Right? These individuals inspite of having a handicap still try to succeed,And that is amazing. If these people try to live a better life by finding ways and means and try to escape from the bondages of Handicap ,It is not only Great but also means they are indeed smart .They speak through their mind and soul instead of their mouth that's the only difference .Anyone who hates them is as bad as the Nazis!

Then they have a huge brain problem. Thinking that someone is dumb just because they are deaf is like thinking that someone will steal because they're any other race different from your own. It's a totally unneeded biased. I have many deaf friends, and i regularly babysit for a deaf woman. They are intelligent, sweet, people , with patience like no others, (if they got annoyed as much as we do about incorrect grammar, many hearing people would avoid signing forever) and just like with hearing people, they're are dumb ones too. But the pc term is mentally disabled.

It's incorrect question. Deaf people are the same as everybody else. Ludwig van Beethoven became deaf in the end of his life, but still composed wonderful music.

There is nothing dumb about deaf folks. I am amazed at the speed that they can sign the language, wish I could speak that quickly! They only appear to be apart from the ordinary folks, anyone who is different (I am disabled) draws attention. Who cares?

Lots of different people use sign language. People who are deaf, people who cannot speak, people are now teaching it to infants as a preliminary form of communication since fine motor skill develop before fine tune skills of the vocal cords.
I personally know a bit of sign, and friends of mine and myself will sign on a subway sometimes (or in a club, it's much easier than yelling) - and the comments we hear from people around us who think we can't hear is DISCUSTING!

I have completed level 1 of British Sign Language (BSL) and I love the sign language. There is no reason to dislike d/Deaf people. They are like anybody else. We're all the same. :-)

Yes. I find them quite fascinating because since their hearing is not too good, their other senses are exceptionally well developed.
I ask thee in return:
Do deaf people not like people with ordinary hearing because hearing people are dumb since the rest of their senses are so underdeveloped?
