I don't have experience living with a Muslim, but I do have experience of deep friendships with Muslims. I'm also engaged to marry a Muslim.
Not all terrorists are Muslims, and most Muslims aren't terrorists. The number of terrorists is a drop in the bucket compared to the total number of Muslims in the world. Most are peace loving, law abiding people. It's too bad the bad apples get all the media coverage from their misbehavior. We never see good Muslims on the news, there are many more of them than there are terrorists.
Btw, Timothy McVeigh and the KKK aren't Muslim, but they are terrorists. Same with the IRA. That's what I meant by not all terrorists are Muslim.

This question is often hurled at Muslims, either directly or indirectly, during any discussion on religion or world affairs. Muslim stereotypes are perpetuated in every form of the media accompanied by gross misinformation about Islam and Muslims. In fact, such misinformation and false propaganda often leads to discrimination and acts of violence against Muslims. A case in point is the anti-Muslim campaign in the American media following the Oklahoma bomb blast, where the press was quick to declare a ‘Middle Eastern conspiracy’ behind the attack. The culprit was later identified as a soldier from the American Armed Forces.
Let us analyze this allegation of ‘terrorism’:
Different labels given to the same individual for the same action, i.e. ‘terrorist’ and ‘patriot’
Before India achieved independence from British rule, some freedom fighters of India who did not subscribe to non-violence were labeled as terrorists by the British government. The same individuals have been lauded by Indians for the same activities and hailed as ‘patriots’. Thus two different labels have been given to the same people for the same set of actions. One is calling him a terrorist while the other is calling him a patriot. Those who believed that Britain had a right to rule over India called these people terrorists, while those who were of the view that Britain had no right to rule India called them patriots and freedom fighters.
It is therefore important that before a person is judged, he is given a fair hearing. Both sides of the argument should be heard, the situation should be analyzed, and the reason and the intention of the person should be taken into account, and then the person can be judged accordingly.
Islam means peace
Islam is derived from the word ‘salaam’ which means peace. It is a religion of peace whose fundamentals teach its followers to maintain and promote peace throughout the world.

While this is a valid question, lets back up for a second. Understand this--these two groups are very big and you can't make a judgment for millions of people. Some of the modern day terrorists are, if fact, Muslims. However, they represent a very small portion of the Muslim people. While Muslims usually have a strong devotion to their beliefs, the vast majority are not, by principle, violent. Terrorists can come in any religion. Remember the man who blew up the building in Oklahoma City? He was a American, and he claimed Christianity! So don't assume things about such a vast amount of people. That can breed terror by itself.

Don't drag religion into your statement. People are terrorists. The ancient Hebrews were terrorists, The modern Jews are terrorists. The Palestinians are terrorists. The Christians have an appalling historical record of terrorism. The Serbs and Bosnians are terrorists, The Communists are terrorists, Hitler, Genghis Khan, Attila the Hun, Eric the red. Richard the lionhearted. Alexander the great. Emperor Constantine, the list goes on. About the only people who are not included are Buddhists.

People are people! Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, white, black, brown ...whatever. People are trying to find a way home. That's like asking ," the white people are terrorist or some white people are terrorists?" There are some terrorists who hate and they can be from any religion or any race or any colour....all it takes is injustice...real or imagined. Its not the answer to use terrorism but maybe most think that nothing else will work. And we have been fed some lies....like Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Remember some Muslim get on well with some Christians. The minority is terrorist...the majority are not terrorists...just ordinary people who want peace. Hate is easy...love is hard. I think Gandhi and Martin Luther King had the answer....passive resistence, standing strong, but non-violent. We haven't been through what people under repressive rulers have been through. Look at Afghanistan....almost destroyed by all kinds of countries and disasters and wars and famines. The only thing that will work is real love shown in practical ways and people refusing to hate or have greed for power or wealth or getting their own way. Its not going to work unless each person forgives. And we are given the worst of news because the media mostly want us to be interested. There are Muslims getting on with life as best they can ....just like most of us. What if they called a war and nobody turned up?
A personal experience I had was on a rocky piece of coast. My husband and I were fishing with our children and three Muslim men were fishing too. At a certain time we noticed one of them faced his prayer-mat to Mecca and prayed. Later we were all walking up the steep steps at close of day. I was struggling with a heavy tackle box and the Muslim man who had prayed asked me ...if he could carry my burden up the hill. That spoke volumes about his character and his beliefs and blessed me. Fear can cause hatred...fear of terrorism can make decisions dangerous. Having a war against terror will just produce more terrorists. When armies make mistakes and when atrocities happen it snowballs. Killing terrorists produces martyers. Then more men hate. What if we flooded Iraq with aid for education and rebuilding and medical aid and food and gifts? Tell me this is possible!

I have converted to Islam and it is defiantly not a terrorist religion. Not all Muslims are terrorists and it depends what your definition of a terrorist is, if it's like Bush's anyone who is a Muslim and hates America are terrorists then yes all the Muslims are Muslims so they are terrorists and different people from different countries hate America so they are terrorists too. But if you really want to know who is a terrorist is isn't Muslims its Bush, Sadam, Robert Mugabe etc...not the innocent people of Iraq or only Muslims and you also have to look at all the sides of the story of the now labelled terrorists, for what they are fighting for. A lot are fighting for freedom of their country etc..., some dont fight at all and what heppens to them? they land up unfairly in places like Guantanamo bay. So yes, if you listen to the media and people like Bush and don't see the reall situation Muslims are terrorists and islam is terrorism, but if you really know the truth, Islam is peacful.

Some terrorists are Muslism; others are Chrisitans, Jews, Hindus, non-believers, etc. Terrorism has no religion or nationality. It depends on the background where the person comes from. Many Muslims live under conditions that nurture terrorim but Islam completely condemns their violence.

Tim McVeigh was a terrorist. Terrorism has nothing to do with religion. It is the terrorist who abuses religion to manipulate the ignorant and the frustrated into becoming his followers.
Do I have any experience to live with a muslim? Sorry...can't understand this question.

some extremist develop their own wrong understanding of the islam and do whats forbbiden in islam and kill innocent people
and all muslims don't agree with their actions and they just make people think that muslims are like that I hope someone can have the oppertunity and sit or spend somedays with muslims and he will then see what islam really is.
Muhammed(PBUH) in war told the soldiers not to cut a tree nor to kill an old man or a woman or a child. so how come that you think that real muslims can go and kill people like that.
So at last I say as an answer to u :nor this nor that
