i dont mean just parts that suit individuals needs, but all of the Bible!if we all used Gods law in our daily lives i truely believe our world would be a better place.(and not just parts of the Bible)

we use to live by good morals and live by His word...well the majority anyways...but not even close now!most of us only go by the parts that help ourselves in selfish ways!
for the non-believers...just pretend (for one week) that you truley believe in God and live by His words and His laws and see if most of your problems dont go away! some of you are looking for answers to different things,so just try my little experiment and prove me wrong...

i am only stateing my beliefs and you may do the same, but i hope you try the experiment for one week and see if i am right or wrong!

no trolls please

YesI do believe that we would have a better world if we all lived as the Bible tells us to, a mere 1 percent of the world population do and they treat eachother better than the rest, of the world does. I could not prove you wrong in what you say there, because I know you are right there even though it is impossible for us to follow the Bible 100% all of the time as we are imperfect if we all did the best to try like you say most problems in the world would be solved like the wars the misery caused by crime violenceand resulting misery as well as greed and cruelty there would be more love in the world and the morality would also be extended, there would also be no racism nationalism or hatredand even marriage would last a lot longer there would be a lot more respect toward other people but when you look around the world it is visible that people are not following the Bible!

Well, to be honest... no.

First off, it's impossible to live to the high example God set. I say "impossible" because God standards are unrealistically high.

Second, think about it for a moment: if God was to ask you to "kill the man because he's unrighteous", can you do it? I mean, there are people who would kill for God. Look at the World Trade Cent- wait, it's not there anymore. Also, in the early parts of the bible, God asked us to "kill" people. I mean, if we were all to kill the gays, won't one of the gay men rebel?

Third... let's talk about Indians - I mean, Native Americans. Christopher Columbus, other explorers and settlers brought Christianity to "The New World". The Indians were peaceful... and what do they get for their troubles? Religion forced down their throats. Today, we call people who do that "Jehovah's Witnesses".

Speaking of those JWs as well as other doctrines, WHO is right? There's so much divisions of Christianity and so many different versions of the bible, how can we tell who is right?

What may sound like a simple question does not have a simple answer... because you are going to get people who THINK they are right...

... and I don't think I'm right. But, I'm not too wrong about this answer...

No, we will not have a better world. At least, according to other people.

Its amusing to see that despite all the advances that human race has made in the last few centuries, people still so much believe in bible and god. First, the life on the planet has evolved. That is the reason why people die for any number of reasons and so many species go extinct when human population kills them. Its not god controlling anything. We believe in god because our brain has evolved with consciousness and we fear the unknown and therefore resort to logic provided by religion. Religion evolved because people could never understand why life was born and why life died. People therefore created this set of rules to live by that embodies the religious sriptures because it makes survival easy and introduces fear so that a group could be controlled.
Living by bible or any other scripture would do no good because we are in a natural phase of eveolution where we understand the creation of life itself and with os much of knowledge, believing in god and religion would be not only foolish but suicidal . The biggest example is the creation of life in the labs itself without even using any living or organic compunds. This field of artificial life engineering proves beyond a shadow of doubt that the life is just another coincidence that survived for a reason which certainly is not the Bible

The bible is open to interpretation, like any text. There is often much ambiguity in the text, how do you live by the bible 100% when you can not interpret exactly what it means?
So would the world be a better place if we all lived by the bible, i think it would be a place of narrower thought, like a dictorial regime and the ambiguity of the text would continue to present conflict.

If you honestly follow the word of 'God' then life is never boring. Boring wouldn't exist since you've chosen to do 'God's' will and not your own. Unfortunately, the Bible states that, "Many are called, but few are chosen." - Matthew 22:14(King James Version). So, as for everyone doing the right thing - it's a nice thought. Pray for them anyway, maybe they will get it. One day. -peace.

I really don't know cause so many people change thing in the bible to ( Justify ) make what they are doing or how they are living seem like right compared to other.

It would be better I guess, but we would need someone to say yes or no on the way one people decipher things that they read in the bible.

Yes, because when I was able to read the Bible, I change my unproductive and troublesome life into a meaningful one with the right direction and it is bearing fruit. I became more patient, understanding, forgiving, tolerant, selfless, helpful, concern, responsible, loving, respectful and submissive to the will of God. I don't condemn others for their mistakes or deficiencies instead I try to lead others towards the right path. But I know that this is still not a guarantee for me to be destined to heaven. I still have a lot of resposiblities to fulfill towards my fellowmen and my family but into the hands of God I have surrendered myself in the name of Jesus Christ, my saviour.

If we lived 100% according to the bible, it would be an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth The bible shows no compassion toward transgressors. The bible commands you to kill witches, it commands you to kill any family member who suggests you consider changing your religion, It condones terrorism ie; Moses told the Hebrew tribe to butcher the entire inhabitants of Canaan. It condones slavery. It condones murder, rape ,pillage and destruction of cities belonging to anyone who is not 'the chosen people' It condemns people to everlasting torment, Even death is no escape from the wickedness of those who wrote the bible.

everyone has had it with your ignorance. there are other people in this world besides you. and those people dont deserve to be hated upon by you.

and what i am saying is. not everyone lives by the Bible, because they dont live in your imaginery world in that mind of yours. I agree it would be better. But as time goes, people change. And maybe you should to. and let me know. you definatley dont live by the Bible 100%, because if you did you would forgive people and not want to fight. (like Jesus). so before you preach to others, maybe you should check yourself. so maybe you should try your experiment as well. o, and you dont have to be such an extremist either. but yah, go test your own theory then come let us know what happend. thanks. best of wishes to you and hope you succeed. ... because as of now, you are failing your own extremist teachings and at life.
