Oh give me a break, "Most serious biblical scholars"? Perhaps you'd like to name a few, or give some examples of where it's been changed or added to. I might be a "devout" christian but I do my homework. The fact is that the wording of the New Testament can be traced back to very close to when it was first written, both through extant Manuscripts and by quotations in the writings of the early church fathers. There are a COUPLE of places where a few verses have been changed by over-zealous scribes (1 John 5:8 comes to mind) but we know this is the case by comparing other manuscripts. This is certainly not "a lot of the New Testament". Your question is ill-informed and grossly misleading.

Before we go into the discussion as to if Bible has changed or not, lets refresh the concept of religion. Religion - Is a way of life or a code of conduct, that bounds you into the norms of a society. It tells you how to behave as a human being in soiety as a whole and what are your obligations towards the community. All religions in the world teach almost same thing and dictate basic specs of tolerence, nonviolence, cleanliness, mannerism etc. The source of religious norms, however, can be different. Some religions educate these norms as devine order in the shape of a book like Torah, Bible, Quran, Geeta etc, whereas, others have derived these ethos through experience and aging of society like Budhism, Sikhism, and so on.
Now, keeping in mind the spirit of religion, such books have undergone a process of evaluation. As the time passes, the scholars and religious calergy keeps exploring the new dimensions of such devine commandments. As you know, in case of Quran, the original script in Arabic has not changed but the scholars have presented different translations and explanations of Arabic verses. The spirit behind this is to provide the most current and practical dimension of religious ethos to its believers.
Bible has also undergone the same evaluation process and new dimensions have been given to it to implement latest code of conduct that is the most practical and current. As far as "changes with vested interests" is concerned, yes - there have been efforts made by a few to change Bible in the way that suits the "vested" needs of some individuals or a specific group of community but all such efforts must be guarded against by the church and such changes must be checked right at the outset.

Look in the Vatican and other museums. If you want to see the translated text try http://www.scripture4all.org/ . The earlier text are codified and available to everyone. Moreover, the Christian message went West and East. You can find the message is the same in both directions. So much for the actual text. All serious biblical scholars accept the New Testament based on this documents. It is not the text but the interpretation of the text.
Now to your thesis.

Yes the Alexandria Egypt texts (taken from textus receptus) which the Catholic Vulgate was based on have been changed at Alexandria and by the Vatican.
BUT the Greek Textus Receptus has not been changed...this is where the King James gets it's translation.
even if they had changed some..they couldn't know what to change unless they had the Holy Spirit..and if they had the Holy Spirit they wouldn't change the treasures that are hidden within the text. You cannot change what you cannot see or hear.

Yes definately, that's why I converted to a religion hasn't changed and it's holy book is in the same condition and has the same wording(The Quraan). I know that the trinity concept was added in years after the Bible was wriiten/revealed and many times it has been changed to suit people as history proves.

yes, they are not the original first version, but changed.. modified...
So bible isn't right and only became trash in our world. Al-quran
never translated to all language and the contain still same with another Al-quran in the world. So, the people who produce Al-quran can't trick us. In the last page of Bible said "The last phropet is
military leader and nation leader". Jesus is not a military leader or nation leader but Muhammad SAW is military leader and nation leader. So, I think Islam is right.

Yes, the Comma Johanneum for example. (1 John 5:7,8) It was added centuries after Jesus' death, so it can't possibly be a true part of the NT. This is the only "solid evidence" supporting the trinity doctrine, but since it's not even true scripture, then even this "evidence" fails. Jesus was a Prophet of God, but was NOT GOD HIMSELF.

I like the old King James bible because it hasn't been touched for 400 years. I love the bible and God uses His word to teach me about Himself and to give me comfort and to show me the way I'm to live for Him. Before I had Jesus I was blind, naked and alone. What showed me the way? the Bible. People died to get the bible to others who did not have one. You cannot take away what we Christians have, the living word of God.

yes, I believe it has been changed mainly in the literature part. There are certain words in the ancient language that has no direct translation in our language.
