Considering I've been playing for..2 years and this is online (have also played live games) ..I usually place in top 3, but end up losing because I head to the bigger$$ tables. So, if I stay at a low sitngo table, is it possible to cash out, say $200/day? Does anyone actually do this?

You're trying to make a long term game into a lot of short term propositions. A good cash out plan is essential, but the discipline to play at the limits that you can handle financially couldn't be more important. Check out the money management section of www.chainpoker.com. It does a good job of explaining a common strategy.

The short answer is yes. But I would make two points. If you win then other people have lost the same amount plus the amount of the rake/fees. So you can only win in the long run if you are appreciably better than your regular opponents. At the level where you need to play to earn enough for a comfortable living there are very few weak players. There is a large amount of luck in poker, especially online where you cannot see your opponents and cannot 'read' them like you would face to face. Because there is a lot of luck players will have long winning and losing streaks. A break-even/losing player can have a good run and convince themself that they are a winning player. And a winning player can have a long losing streak and lose their whole bankroll unless it is substantial.

My hubby plays online all the time and has cashed out a bunch of checks. I think every poker room has a minimum amount, and they probably ask you for proof of age and stuff but you shouldn't have any problems. Most poker rooms have live help so they should be able to answer any questions you have. We are actually waiting for two checks right now. Every room is different so you should contact them to find out their requirements.

Anything is possible. Best way to do it is to win a fixed amount of money.

you can make good money in $30/50 sitngos if you play alot of them and often.... play conservatively remember you are just trying to place top 3 out of 10, its not like a tournament where you have to gather a lot of chips, so wait for good hands
