That depends on the cause of the soreness. If exercise related, stretch your muscles gently and keep doing what you're doing - your muscles will get used to what you're up to and then they'll stop hurting. But keep stretching! It's good for you. Stretching increases circulation and helps keep you flexible, which in turn helps prevent injuries.

As an athlete, i would have to ask what kind of soreness it is. if its muscle then u definently want to avoid using heat, always use ice. keep a pack of ice on whatever is sore for 5 minutes on and then 5 minutes off, and so on for about 30 minutes. then let nature take its coarse.

have you tried applying something hot on where its sore (internal soreness of course) for external soreness, have you tried applying cold frozen ice cubes
