Depends where you go to school. In my high school, there was only one mean upper classmen, and he only picked on a few of the weakest freshmen. Still, he made life a living hell for a couple of them. I think as time goes on, the bully problem is not as bad as it used to be. Maybe thats just where I am from though, because people are realizing at younger ages that making someone not like you now could hurt you 10 years down the line when you need help with getting a job.

luckily I go to a smallish school with 100 kids in each grade, but it wasn't that bad for me because my older brother was a senior when I was a freshman and he actually was nice enough not to so anything.

Basically at the first pep rally the seniors threw flour and water on the freshman, they threw eggs and pies and it wasn't fun, needless to say when I'm a senior, I'm sure that people in my grade will stil be holding grudges about the pep rally and some other stuff that happened that year, and will most definately take it out on the freshman. This year it wasn't just the seniors who hated the freshmen, we all did, and everything was made worse for them.

I'm not saything that I agree with any of this, cause at that pep rally I hurt my back when slipping in water, so I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone else, but it's tradition.....

most schools these days are really good, if you do have a problem it is encouraged that you talk to somebody because it is considered a form of bulling and that is not tolerated. If it is a trade school there should be no problem because there is not enough time for learning, let alone stupid things like teasing. Good Luck and don't worry high school isn't that as bad as you fear it is.

hardly - only bc of personal grudges, not bc of a general anti-underclassmen feeling. tv really overhypes it.
