There were not such think like Mengele camps. Mengele just had people for his experiments by application to them. People for experiments were hold to reach the aim of investogator (so not necessarily were starving).
Both hold people without decision of the court. In a territory where are no laws in fact. WW2 lasted 4 years, many of concentration camp prisoners who survived passed less time in them than Guantanamo prisoners. And that was a time of exhausting war in these states. With limited food production.
