I have 50 degrees curvature on my right upper back under my shoulder and i have 35 degrees on my left lower back right above my butt. I know a little bit b/c i go to a chiropractor, but he's not a specialist in scoliosis. I also have a slight hump on the 50 degree part but its not noticable unless i point it out. (thank god). I dont really want to get surgery and im getting regular chiropractic care. Will the hump get smaller b/c of the the chiro. or will it get bigger b/c of time? Im so confused. Im scared and i dont know what to think and im only 15 years old and i have back problems like an old lady! What will i do when i actually am an old lady? Please help me. I need info.

i am 26 and have known about my scoliosis for over 12 years now. i have a "c" curve in my spine towards the middle and on down of my back. the doctors say mine is not too bad and unless it starts changing i probably won't have to have surgery. but yours sounds very serious. you will probably have to have surgery at some point or you will not be able to walk right. i have a friend who had bad problems like yours and she had surgery and now has no problems. she had to wear a back brace for about a year after her surgery but all is fine with her now. i know surgery can be a scary thought, I've never had to have it, but sometimes it's the only way. hang in there and keep doing what your doctor's say. good luck

Probably there are some serious causes of this problem.

Before going further to specialists, I would recommend a one-time treatment called Atlasprofilax. It puts your neck vertebrae straight with consequences on your complete spine.

I have experienced it myself, it's amazing. Just: It's available in California in Europe only, but it's worth travelling far to get this experience (costing approx. 220 dollars).

All I know is I have a mild case of it and I hurt all the time, I also have arthritis though now in my back, try to not let that happen.

They have chiropractors that specialize in scoliosis. I would see one.
