I have been with this guy for 5 years. There is no attraction between us whatsoever anymore. I stay with him because I am comfortable. How do I move on? I am having a hard time letting go.

If you feel nothing for the person you are with then it is unfair to you both not to let go and move on. You need to value yourself and realize that you deserve to be in a loving relationship instead of hanging onto something just because it's convenient.

You said there is no attraction, you did not say there is no love left, if there is still love then maybe it is just a rut, because everyone goes through this in a long term relationship, also if there is no attraction for neither one of you why does he stay? Obviously the attraction was there at some point, sometimes we are to close to a situation to really see what the real issues may be, but if you are truly over this relationship, don,t cheat either of you out of the real thing, life is too precious and short to be unhappy, comfortable is for shoes not love relationships, good luck I hope you figure this out!

Do you remember what it feels like to get that first kiss? How your heart beats faster as the guy walks up to your door? How you think your heart might stop when he simply touches your shoulder? Don't you miss these things? Remember what it is that you want from a relationship, remember the feelings, the fireworks. Now look at what you have... a great friend who is closer to you than anyone you know. That is what he is. Don't give up the fireworks and heart stopping kisses to be comfortable. If you're feeling this way, I'm sure he is too, and you're both more than ready to move on, you just need a push. You won't be losing your friend by deciding that it's time to move on, so if you do, you end up with this perfect friend and a chance to find the love you desire.

Its going to be hard to let go of some one youve been with for so long yes. But if you dont get out of it now then the one your with may decide to take the relationship to another leve and since thats not what you then it just makes things worse, the easiest thing is to get it over with, the sooner you do the quicker it all be over.

LOL, wow, it's amazig to see someone admit they are comfortable. I would just go. Find someone you are attracted to, life is too short. I wil say this, you may just be bored. While there really can't be breaks in relationships I would say take a "break". If you or he finds someone you ike better it wasn't meant to be. If you end up missing him and vise versa then work on making each other happy.

Talk to him. If you don't care for him why is it so hard to let go? Maybe you are just bored with the relationship. Has there been any drastic changes in the relationship that might make you feel unattracted to him?

Only you can really answer this question. But don't do it in a way that will hurt him needlessly. Don't have an affair, don't just run off with someone else. Break things off if you have to, or try to bring back some spice into your relationship.

you finally have to say enough is enough, you maybe comfortable but its not the same girl let it go because the longer you stay the more you deprive yourself of a new comfortable chair.

u ought to tell him the truth ..what's the point of staying with him when there's no chemical reaction?? everything would be a disgust...u don't feel the sparkles, etc...u don't have to completely let him go...try to be friends n' help each other out when needed...don't u think it'll be more meaningful??? good luck!!!

let go. it's hard and it take time getting used to but just let go. consume yourself with other positive things such as your hobbies eg reading, sports, something to keep you busy. in good time you will notice that you have forgotten. it's easier siaad than done but the only failure is in not trying.
