listening to men instead of studying the Bible? The day of worship is not,"The venerable day of the sun" as was enforced by Constantine. I'm not endorsing a denomination here. It is just that God spent 40 years teaching Israel which day was the day of worship by not giving manna on that day. Luke 4 verse 16 shows that Jesus kept the Sabbath. It is the 3rd commandment in Exodus 20 verse 8. I John 5 verses 2 and 3 explains that is how we "know" that we love God. To me this shows that there are many that "call" themselves Christian but are not - catholic or protestant. In Deuteronomy 11 verse 18 it says they are to be bound in our hand and forehead. Those are the same places that the "mark of the beast" are to be received. I'm not saying it....THE BIBLE IS !!

Keeping the sabbath is a principle. My sabbath day until recently was a Tuesday, it was just the day I had more time to spend with God. We are not under law any more, we are under grace. If we try to impose that everyone should set aside a specific day we will alienate them. The principle is what's important, god wanted to make sure His people had time to rest and just worship Him and be in His presence, that's the thing we should focus on, don't get hung up on what day of the week the Israelites did it, just concentrate on doing it yourself.

There is an alternative Bible...called the Oahspe that tells of the Sabbath, the angels realms and the heavens and much else
http://www.angelfire.com/in2/oahspe3/oindex.html
It tells you about the Constantine bible and the Old Testament that was edited by Ezra
and to me rings so much more true
Blessings

I agree, but also have a question? please

How do we know what is the true 7th day? Human made up the calenders, and the time zone systems? How do we indeed know that the Sabbath is on Saturday? I believe in keeping the Sabbath, what I don't understand is how we know the true sabbath day? Not what human call the sabbath, but Christ Jesus real and true Sabbath?

You are absolutely correct about which day is the Sabbath. (You are a little incorrect regarding which commandment that is. It's the fourth, not the third. The first one is "Thou shalt not have any Gods before me..." The second one is "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image..." The third is "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain..."
and the fourth is "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy...")

The Sabbath is the sign. Your are right about that.

P.S. Wow!! The little sweetie above sure comes across as hostile, but why? She chooses the site she goes to, chooses what she reads, and gets hostile because you put something on it--even though no one asked her to read it. Methinks she doth protest too much... must've hit a nerve.

Christians shouldn't necessarily know! After all, the bible is a story book so treat it as such, it is a book written by humans for humans. Christians need to have faith in themselves. If you search within yourself, you will come up with the answers.

you go read and study your bible. you thumper, you!
why are you here? you are going to hell because you are not studying right now at this very moment.

if it feels right i will do it, if not , then F it.
it's my life. i will live it. not you.

so keep your nose in your own business and in your bible and leave me the F alone. your nose has no business up mine!

i have a brain that GOD gave me and I know how to use it. i know how to read and i know how to read between the lines. i AM christian, and i don't have to memorize anything to do it.
what bothers me are the people who can recite the entire bible, but have no idea how to live and learn for themselves. how can you become all you can be if you are too busy?

You are so right...The Sabbath is the Sign and the Blessing on all we do.
And the day we observe it actually matters.lt does.
lt was changed for political reasons.
But we know the truth and should not let it divide us.
'Lord, make them one,as WE are ONE.'
