Jesus came to this earth and was humiliated, shamed, mocked, beaten and nailed to a cross - just so He could establish His body here - His CHURCH. Would He go through all of this and then leave the details to men? I am looking for biblical-based answers only - no simple 'personal opinions,' please.

Religion attempts to formulate our relationships with one another and with God. Relationships are real. Prophets are concerned about how we treat one another and get along with one another. People come closer to God by coming closer to one another.

Churches are big on preaching what to do, but churches (all of them) are human institutions and flawed. Churches are often the worst when it comes to practicing what is preached.

So a true prophet is interested in our relationships, and in people. Churches are interested in the business side, the money, the rules, the restrictions. God never intended to start any business.

This is a biblical answer, although I will not be quoting. This is not simply my opinion.

What you are missing is that Jesus IS the church. The church is not a building, or a set of rules. What Jesus wanted most of all was for us to love the Lord our God, and to love each other. He wants a relationship with us.

So, to answer your question, Jesus leaves the details up to us because He wants us to try to get close to Him however we can. Petty differences like allowing women to preach or allowing men to wear hats don't matter to Him. What matters is that we are trying our hardest to get to know Him. He is within all of us, because we are blessed by the Holy Spirit. Like a shepherd to His lambs, he calls us back to Him. We are Him, He is in us, the Church is Him, and we are the church. His people are what form the church. Not any structure we could ever build or any legalistic rules we could ever set in place. The only rules that matter are His rules, and they're spelled out pretty simply.

I hope that helps.

Peace!

Yes, God gave us free will. This includes the freedom to conduct "church" however we wish.

A better question might be: If we choose to follow God's will, how would He (or She) wish us to conduct "church"?

With love in Christ.

Humans invent Gods in their own images so what God wants is whatever a person claims he wants. Of course, it has no effect on anyone else, but people are free to claim whatever they want regarding what God wants.

After all, they did invent him.

okay, first there is no god. secondly, if there was, why would he let his people bulid up different churches and would end up arguing because of the differences in their church's beliefs. is that what he want? shouldn't he just built one church so that people would be united?

I read about 'church', in Revelation. It lists several good ones, and several not so good ones.
