Do a study on how easy it is to get a big grant to research irrelevant facts, like we see daily in the news: "Scientists prove that people prefer good tasting food rather than dirt." Hopefully someone somewhere will appreciate the irony. ;-)

have them test each local weather report, make them analyze the different fronts and pressure systems, do a few days for each station and find out which one is the best
