So, if this is a quote in the bible that you go by, saying that being gay is a sin, than what does MANKIND meant to you? Because to me MANKIND means the entire population, man and women! The problem here is that those of you who read the bible are taking these such words like mankind and defile, as a different word then what they mean, such as the footnotes that some random person put at the bottom of the page, look those words up!

The word for mankind in that passage in the hebrew is zakar זָכָר and it means a male as well as the other word for man in that passage iysh אִישׁ also refers to a man. So I looked up the words in the original language and you are wrong.

It can also be argued that that passage simply prohibits anal sex between males because a man lies with another man AS WITH a woman, or similar to lying with a woman.

As well, all of Lev. is a derective from God about the cleanliness of the holy land and therefore has no meaning to the rest of the world.

People that take the Bible as the only truth tend to only take parts. They say the old Testament is no more, like Cain and Able repopulating the earth with their sister and god telling Abrham to kill his son for a test. Yet they still go for this gay thing. Doesn't make sense. Either it's all true, or just admit that you take parts.

You can split hairs if you want to, but it is very clear that it means men having sex with men, because it says 'as...with a woman.'

Why would you want to argue about it? It either says it or it doesn't. Accept it or don't. That's easy.

The distinction is made because the word woman is used also.

More importantly, why should you care what a bunch of ignorant ancient goat herders wrote, other than as a historical exercise?

Thank you. This is why you can't take something written and rewritten and rewritten again by man so literally, or seriously.
