on the whole cows are not dangerous but when they have a calf with them they will protect them same as any other animal ... and with the regars to jumping i worked on a farm for many years and i saw a cow jump over a 5 bar gate about 5 foot high becouse she wanted to get away from a bull we were all amazed

I think that dogs can look up, but have to raise their heads.
And whoever told you that cows were dangerous beasts?
The only time cows are dangerous is when they stampeed. Other than that, they are very quiet and gentle animals. I grew up on a dairy farm, and only found the cows to be a calm quiet animal you can pet and talk to.

Some of the small fences (2-4 wires) have electric currents going through them. If a cow or anyone touches them they will get shocked.

I've wondered the same thing about cow fences. There's just too many stories in the news nowadays about renegade cow attacks...standing outside people's houses mooing all night, squirting people on the street with their udders...it's the worst epidemic this country has seen.

Cows aren't dangerous although the cow did jump over the moon! The little dog must have had his head up to see the cow or he wouldn't have laughed:)

Dogs look up all the time. Why on earth do you think that cows are dangerous.? Just because they are big does not mean they are dangerous. They are very gentle animals. Bulls, their male counterparts can be very dangerous on the other hand!

Don't worry, McDonalds are onto those cows and they're keeping them under control. As for the dogs... well just beware of the ones with the binoculars, theyre crafty.

My dog looks up all the time when I give it a biscuit.
And cows are hardly dangerous, I eat them every day.
And if it came down to it, I could probably kill one with my bare hands.

Yes dogs can look up.
Cows arn't that bright.... They look at an obstical, they see an obstical. For the most part they don't go.... hey that looks kinda flimsy, I bet I can knock that down. They go... hey there is something in my way, can't go that way.
So unless there stampeding or freaking out, they will just wonder. They probly would even if it was like rice paper walls, but can't say for sure there.

what? I don't know what kind of cows you ran into, but they can't jump or get over fences easily so they don't need to be high.
