That is a double standard. Talk to him about it calmly and tell him this is not a father daughter relationship. You guys are on the same level in this relationship and you need to agree what is acceptable and what is not.

I don't know, mine has done it many times in the past also. It's a male thing... He has 50 female friends but if I talk to a guy he thinks I am trying to hook up with him or he is me..... Or my best friend (a guy) wanted to go to a hockey game together and I couldn't go out of town 4 hrs to go with him, but he could fly to another FAR state to spend a week with his ex-girlfriend..... Hope you could find an answer... Sorry I couldn;t help, just thought I would let you know your not the only one......

ok, first of all, what is he doing? second of all, maybe he just wants to feel in control (some guys are like that) and third of all, you should realize that guys make 80% of decisions not from their head, but from the waist down. its natural instinct for men. maybe if you did the things with him that he is doing without you, he wouldnt be tempted to do them with other people. get what im saying? good luck. and dont forget, guys are dumb, you have to be patient with us, k? we make mistakes.

because men are manipulative people and if you're weak, you'll evidently submit to their every wish. they still believe that men should be the more dominant one in a relationship. sheesh! talk about "machismo" and double standards! i guess it won't go away.
