First I would seek outside council and support of some kind, preferably the non-judgmental kind.
Also not knowing firsthand, I would wonder, are these family members speaking of you in any way to their knowledge, or simply spouting some general non-specific ignorance?
And if so, might they not change their tune if they knew the statements were impacting an actual loved one rather than some hypothetical "gay"?
And as for the threat, not to make light of your situation, but as I'm sure the number one empty threat used by parents without a real leg to stand on, I would be grateful for that one. If any real number of these threats were carried out often as they were made, we would be a very small population indeed!
Try not to engage in such over dramatization yourself in response, hard as it can be to see some times, the unconditional love of family can be more than a match for ignorance.

You are living for you. Alot of times it's hard for people to deal with issues that are so controversial....sometimes they end up hurting themselves if no one understands or hurting someone else if they tell...So what do you do? Start asking questions about the gay topic...This is what make you happy and let's be honest here.... being gay is nothing new, but people are still not used to the idea. Start slow with your family. Take time for yourself to see and understand that everyone will not be so accepting of you-and that's what should make you fight more. Good luck (on life)

i feel really sorry for you that your family would not accept you based on that. i personally find nothing wrong with being gay and recommend not telling them. maybe you could talk to a close friend or other family member. good luck.

It's great that you want to tell your family at such a young age but maybe you should get their honest opinions about the subject before you go doing that.

being a gay or lesbian is a curse on humankind. it is completely un-natural. so try to be straight by taking somee madical attention. then there would be no need to discuss with your family.
