Can anyone please tell me where i can go (a web site) and get the true value of old coins, mainly old pennies in the 30's & 40's. Ty

The first link has a good guide but the values are a bit high, the second is my site and I answer all question straight out of coin books I own..

I created a chart just for wheat pennies that I think is the most accurate because it takes into account the current market.

The following sites are good, but a lot depends on the condition of the coins, so being able to accurately grade your coins is a good way to start. Check some books on coin grading standards at your local library of sometimes, coin magazines give pictures of coins in various grades. Good luck!

Websites are ok but your best bet is to take it to a liscenced appraisor. It is hard to judge value online. The appraisor would have to look at it with a magnifyer to check for defects etc. I wouldnt trust a website for something like that.
