i used to like this really shy guy..he asked me to hang out but told his friends we were dating..i asked him to go to a movie last night..but i realized im not really that into him and i dont really want a bf at the moment..what should i say cuz i really dont wanna hurt him but he needs to know we arent dating and hes not my bf??

Like Nike says, just do it. There is no easy way to "let him down". If you are really being truthful (and I doubt that you are) about not wanting a bf right now, just tell him that. Give him the old line about "just being friends", the kiss of death. He may surprise you by saying something like he doesnt want a gf right now either. Just because he's shy doesn't mean he's made of glass. He is probably a lot tougher than you think.

try not to rush into things, you sound young and have nothing but time later in life to deal with all this stuff. Just tell him that your to young and don't want to date yet and your sorry . Just be you, and from a mom point of view leave the boy's alone and focus on the important things in your life right now such as school, family and friends..fun stuff... good luck...there is no way to really get out of this except to be honest but not brutal

there really is no nice way to do this...
but trust me, the SOONER YOU TELL HIM THE BETTER!!
The sooner you tell him, the less hurt he will be. I used to have a bf who felt the same way about me, since I'm real shy, and he didn't want a gf... it took him FOUR MONTHS to tell me...
trust me, it's way easier to tell him in the NOW than later. be real nice about it. tell him you still want to be friends; you're just not in the dating mode right now. Also let him know that you didn't want to lead him on by keeping going out with him...

Tell him the truth. Be honest with him. Not the up in your face, brutal kind of honesty but just be honest. You said yes to a date that you don't want. You owe him the truth if you're going to break the date.

well u can confront him and just explain to him that he is just a friend and not a bf. and that ur not really ready now to have a relationship.
