John Wayne Airport (SNA) is in Santa Ana. It is much cleaner and more convenient than LAX. That being said there aren't as many flights in and out of there and it isn't 24 hours. I will always choose SNA over LAX given the choice.

kelyi63... you need to study geography!

John Wayne airport is located in the city of Santa Ana. Granted its on the border of Costa Mesa/Irvine, but the actual city is Santa Ana, CA.. hence SNA!

Agree that John Wayne Orange County airport is most convenient, I've been there. A problem is that there are many MORE FLIGHTS in and out of LAX, which is hard to get to and from in the morning and afternoon rush hour.

And don't forget Long Beach (LGB), which is only about 20 miles away from Santa Ana. Home to Jet Blue and American and a number of other airlines...

Well there's no airport there exactly. The closest is LAX.
