That is weird! Dog-dating??? Or if you actually into this idea, look for dogs in your neighborhood....

Do you have 3 girls or is she 3 yrs old?

Why do you want to breed her? Is she a breeding quality rottie? Have you gotten her evaluated by a vet and one or two rottie breeders to if she is a good example of the breed? Done any health/genetic testing? If so then you don't look at a chat room to find a mate, you visit several breeder's websites and ask for stud service of a quality male for your quality female. Be prepared to pay cash for studservice upfront, as many breeders will not breed out for pick of a litter to novice puppy raisers or if they do not know you personally. If she is not up to the breed standard - get her fixed and enjoy her as a pet!

In case you breed anyway - are you prepared to have 6-10 rottie babies underfoot? Its hot in AZ right now - she cannot have them outside or in a non-airconditioned environment, as they will all die. You will need to make space for a [BIG!!!] whelping box in the home, and at 3-4 weeks the babies will be quite big and flowing over the whelping box and will be all over the house unless you can provide a larger corralled off space for them.

At 5-8 weeks they are big, noisy and mom will stop cleaning up their piles - you will have to begin potty training them - are you home full time to do that? Otherwise you will need to bathe them everyday in order to keep them presentable when potential buyers visit, as pups get messy if they are home alone during the day with nowhere to go potty at. Never mind major whelping/puppy room clean up detail after a day at work :o).

Have you got some buyer lined up and commitments for deposits? What will you do when the pups are 3 months old and making a racket all day long playing and trashing your home and you still have half of the litter not sold? Are you prepared for potential emergency vet bills birthing the pups + maintenance vet bills for tail docking, dewclaw removal, dewormings every 2 weeks and puppy shots?

Raising pups is an expensive endeavor and not a make money quick scheme. You are morally responsible for what you create as well as financially - what if the pups have some genetic diseases or problems and you will have to reemburse your buyers for their ongoing veterinary costs or buy the pups back?

Breeding dogs should be a well thought out decision and not a "I could use a couple of extra hundred dollars - lets go and breed her" idea. A lot of things can go wrong when breeding and raising dogs - even with experienced breeders - visit the link below for more info...

Why not get your dogs spayed. There is an over abundance of homeless dogs. Why add to the problem.
