I would suggest that you contact your retailer immediately.
Also are you sure that you are not mistaking an 'O' for a zero or the other way round. I usually make such a mistake when I am typing a serial code.

If you have access to another computer with internet access and you believe the XP software may be pirated try going here.http://www.microsoft.com/oem/sblicense/.The only other way to get a valid key is by calling Microsoft.If your in america try 1-866-pc-safety.

Either contact your computer retailer or contact Microsoft. If it is counterfeit Microsoft will want to know about it, and they will help you to get a new code while they try to catch the people who made the fake code.

I'm sure there is, but just because microsoft is highly anticompetitive and makes mediocre software is no reason to pirate their operating system. I mean, at least steal software that's worth using :P
