Pregnant woman are supposed to sleep on their left side. It makes it a lot more comfortable for them anyways and somewhat safer.

Some people find it easier to sleep on the left side. It might be bad for the hip bone if you don't switch position.

Well, it's well known for most of the Muslims not to sleep on the left side (It is sunna; something Muhamed P.H.U.D. did which all of the Muslims should follow), not lots of people know why but I think because it hurts your heart but I don't know how.

Its said because your heart is on the left side thats why avoid sleeping that side, coz your putting pressure on it.

Lying on your left side would release some of the pressure on your Vena Cava, the vein that returns blood to your heart. When transporting some patients to the hospital, we would have them lying on their left side.

someone up there ^^^^ said that your heart is on the left side of your body. thats not true. its technically in the middle..tilted to the left a little. the aorta is located in the left ventricle which pumps blood to your body..thats why you feel your heart beat on the left. anyway, i bet its just a superstition

Not any worse than sleeping on your right side...or on your stomach.. or on your back for that matter.

No, it's good for you if you have heart burn it can actually make it easier to sleep. I think it all just depends on what makes you the most comfortable.

It would be the same as sleeping on your right. I like to sleep on my stomache. hehe
