Hard to say without more details. Heat is a possibility (please have her spayed if she is not), but so is a change in her personality - she may want to be held more. More importantly, however, she may be trying to tell you she is not feeling right. If she is truly acting out of character, you may consider taking her to a vet. Have her food or litter types been changed recently? If she is alone a lot, she may want companionship. If so, a kitten of the opposite sex and younger would have the best chance of integrating with her well. Good luck.

My brothers cat goes through spells where he just will not shut up. Sometimes if I put him where he is not allowed he shuts up and is content. however there are times when we just have to listen because he will not be quiet. Also he is dying so that could be why my brothers cat does that. As for your precious kitty, try letting her where she usually can't go, or haveing someone in the family that doesn't pet her a lot, pay attention to her. All the luck to you, I know my brothers cat is very annoying when he won't be quiet.

I have a Siamese/Tiger mix. It has been said that a Siamese cat talks a lot. He meows when he walks to the litter box at night. He meows when he can't cover up his poop properly. He meows when I enter the room, and I give him a kiss. .He is jealous and meows at my Persian cat and jumps him when he enters the room. My cat will eventually shut up at night when he gets darn good and ready after I shut my bedroom door and go to bed..

Has there been a change in your household? My cats meow when they are missing someone, for example if one of my kids sleeps over at a friends house.

is her kitty litter clean? if everything around the house is fine then she is probably trying to tell you there is something wrong with her. Take her to the vet. If it's not her try checking yourself out. I'm not sure if cat's have a 6th sense but it's possible

what breed of cat do you have. Oriental cats usually are more talkitive. Could be the cat just wants to talk to you or she is in pain you could call your vet and see what they say. Words I live by when in doubt call the vet.

did you recently change something? it can be something big like the living room furnature, or it can be something small like you started wearing new perfume, and it can tick off your cat.
just a thought.
