What if you like a guy but you friends think this guy is soo weird and will talk trash about you if you go out with him but he just asked you out!

Take a hard look at why your friends are hating on him. Is there a legitimate reason, like they might be concerned that he could hurt you or get you into trouble? If they're really looking out for you, then decide for yourself if they have a point.
Or, are they just being insecure and selfish? For instance, are they jealous that you might be with a guy you like (and they're not) or they're scared that if you're with someone you won't have time for them anymore? If thats the case, then go out with the guy, and understand that you shouldn't let other people's insecurities get in the way of your happiness. And if its about friends being scared of losing you, make the extra effort to reassure them thats not the case (if they're worth keeping.)

If you like the guy you should give it a go. It is your life. How do you know if he is not the 1 if you dont give it a go. this guy might make you happy (im not saying you are not already happy, i dont know you). If your friend is going to talk trash about you if you start seeing him. She/He is not worth having as a friend. your friend should respect your wishes. and if things dont work out with the guy a good friend should be their for you.( you will find out who your real friends are... I will give you a little story.
I met a guy that i thought we would not get along he was right into heavy metal music and into alot of things i was not in to. all through school i hated these kind of guys/music. but i thought i would give it a go. so i did. i found him to the nicest person i have ever met and he makes me very happy. and now we are engaged to be married next year.
see you dont know if you dont give it a try.
nasty friends like that will come and go..(thier not really a friend if they are going to talk about you.
