She can stay as long as you stay. And you don't need any permission slip from your job. Just go to your nearest immigration office and tell them that you need a F3 visa application form for your wife. You need to show a marriage certificate and your visa as well.

My wife and 2 kids all have F3 visas, which mean they can stay in Korea as long as I do. Every year I renew my visa and theirs at the same time. It costs 30 000 won per person and an extra 10 000 won to issue the alien card. This can be done in one visit if you're willing to wait. In Seoul, you may have to come back to claim the card as they are very busy at Seoul Immigration Office.

So true, and apparently you don't always have to go back to pick up your card anymore. Now they have a 6,000 won fee at our immigration office in Chung Bok Do, where they will get it delivered directly to you.

I find that you can talk to one person at immigration and get one response, then talk to another person minutes later and get a completely different response.

Go with what Porgie says, he knows what he's talking about.
To be honest, not everyone at immigration in Korea knows what they are talking about.
