I have never dyed my hair but at the salon they only apply a small amount at a time in your hair and they make sure they rub it in good so it does not run all over you. Next time take your time and go slow, your hair is not going anywhere!

I henna my hair. I use only pure Body Art Quality henna. I henna over chemical colour. As long as you use only pure henna, it is safe. (Strand tests are an absolute must!) Henna only stains red. It builds up, strengthens and conditions the hair, And the colour is gorgeous. Depending on your starting or natural colour you get a red that is all your own. After a couple of applications, it does not fade or bleed like a chemical dye. And unlike chemical dye, it is good for your hair.
Henna is actually pretty easy to do, once you get the hang of it.
It is somewhat time consuming and can be messy, but the results are so worth it.

Even pros make a mess at times. It is easier for us to apply color to someone elses hair. Just be sure to wear an old shirt and use old towels since the color will stain. Any color on you skin will fade off in a day or so. Trick is to remove any color you see where it shouldn't be as soon as you notice it. the longer it sits the more it stains. I found rubbing alcohol helps to remove stains on skin. Try Dawn dish liquid on clothes or towels to help remove color. Hope this helped

you should use a little product on the rims of your hair and more in the middle, you can get those stains off you with cigarette ashes (gross i know) also if you ask someone to help you it would do wonders since there are hard to reach places. don't worry about it the first time i home dyed my hair it was horrible! dark streaks, light streaks, no streaks...

Honestly, I use body quality henna (not "henna for hair" which isn't real henna and is bad for the hair). I get complements on my red hair everyday, and it is actually healthier now that i use henna.Plus, with my long hair, it cost me $70 at the salon, but i can get two dye jobs out of a $4 box. However, you can't use chemical dyes over it-so you are red or what ever color you get out of it (you can use indigo for different colors, too) until it grows out or fades...but then again, it fades alot slower than chemical stuff...pluses and minuses. oo! and it is different colors in different light! sooo freakin' cool.
If you are interested (and I love it. i can also tattoo myself when i dye my hair) check out http://www.hennaforhair.com/

well, i hate to say this, but you have to go to a professional. i never use that stuff. my friend used "buy dye" on my hair once and that was the end of that adventure. i go and get it done at the salon if i get it done at all. it looks good, lasts longer and doesn't make a mess! :)

before u color put a lite coat of petroleum jelly around ur hair line on ur face, that should make it easyer to get off ur skin, as for the rest of the mess bleach works good.
