Yes is we ever allow a nation like Iran to get their hands on nuke technology, first thing they would do is distribute bombs to every nutjob terrorist group to go blow up Israel, Europe, and USA.

This, of course, is what terrorism is about. The whole idea is not just to 'make a statement' but to scare people. The point of 9/11 was about that and so is any other terrorist activity. They do these things so you - and thousands like you - should think "What next? Am I going to be next? ..."
Once you are afraid, they have won.

Regarding Nuclear Weapons
Yes, I agree that Iran should not be making nuclear weapons (if they are). But, by the same token, nor should anybody!
It's the height of hypocrisy for us to say to anyone "We are the good boys, we can have them but you can't." I am not suggesting that the powers that we say are dangerous are not dangerous. What I say is that nobody has a right to vaunt themselves as the best thing since sliced bread and then to back it up with a force that others can't challenge. If democracy and freedom are so good, they should stand on their own merits!

That is why they have a plan of escape for the government officials. A safe place for Congress & the Vice President & certain staff. Air Force One to move Presdient to safe ground. It worked during 9-11 except some of the Democrats panicked & did not follow instructions by DC police who were yelling over noise. They complained about the yelling - how would they feel if Congress had been the next building hit. They can't get all of US, it is too big. There is a list of most likely to hit. Unfornately, I live in not only top 10 best places to live but top15 most likely to be hit - a lot of research labs - private & goverment.

Anything's possible, but lots of things are pretty damned unlikely.
In order for the scenario you present to take place, a non-governmental organization would have to aquire a critical mass of fissionable material, treat it safely and properly, compact it into an effective delivery mechanism, and find a way to transport and deploy it in DC. Of course, they have to do all of this in utmost secrecy. All of these factors combined make nuclear terrorism a very unlikely event. Not impossible, but very unlikely.

the risk for being nuked by terrorists is low.. The real risk we run is being in competition with China for resources such as food, oil, and timber. They already have nukes, and under the right circumstances, will use them... we are stting the circumstances up right now.

That's why we have the greatest servicemen in the world over there making sure everyone on this planet is safe. Next time you see a Bush supporter thank him or her. You could have some hippy in there now loving everyone and next thing you know your living in a cave again.

If we let the liberals rule DC we might as well gift wrap a nuke and give it to Iran.

dont worry. iran wouldnt nuke D.C. first. it would try to level Isreal first. by then the US would drop enough bombs to turn the region into glass.
