The Islamic belief that has the most effect on their actions and worldview seems to be that they believe anyone who disagrees with Islam is subhuman and not worthy of the same rights as "true Muslims."

In summary, Muslims believe in God (only Him)...we worship no other (not Jesus, not Muhammad)

This is a historical account of our Prophet Muhammad giving an account of what Islam is.

One day while the Prophet was sitting in the company of some people, (The angel) Gabriel (dressed as a traveller) came and asked, "What is faith?" Allah's Apostle replied, 'Faith is to believe in Allah, His angels, (the) meeting with Him, His Apostles, and to believe in Resurrection." Then he further asked, "What is Islam?" Allah's Apostle replied, "To worship Allah Alone and none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan." Then he further asked, "What is Ihsan (perfection)?" Allah's Apostle replied, "To worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that He is looking at you."

It is actually for peace. Only problem is that it has been twisted by so-called religious leaders for their own cause, not Islam.

"La ilaha illa Allah...Muhammad rasul Allah."
(There is no God but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah)
This is the basic creed of all Muslims. Muslims also practice daily prayer (whilst facing Mecca) and religious practices such as washing before going inside a mosque, etc.
