I have hundreds of photos of various sizes and need a software to insert a certain word in the middle of all of them in a certain ratio to their size(e.g 1:50).I want to define this once for all of my photos and not for each photo seperate, because it takes time.I have ACD 8 ,but i had no success.Which software helps and how?

you want a watermark...but with 100% opacity...you can do it with Photoshop, Iview Media Pro, Photoshop elements...there's tons of freeware apps for photos out there that will allow you to "stamp" your images with virtually anything you want...since I don't know your OS ..try www.download.com

Your asking for quite a lot here.

InfanView is free for non-commercial use and it allows you to do a nice "Batch Conversion/Rename...". Simply select this option on the file menu, then you select your files and under 'Batch Conversion' select 'Set Advanced Options'. From here you can 'Add Overlay Text' doesn't have quite as many options as you want, but its certainly a start.

You can get InfanView here:

Alternatively, make a image which is the 'watermark' you want to overlay and use the nicely titled Merge (freeware) to merge it with all the images you want marked. You can get that here:

http://www.graphicutils.com/merge/

Good luck!

What exactly are you trying to do? Your question does not really let us know. If you are trying to add text onto photos try using a program like paint shop pro or adobe.

I think you need a batch editor but I don't know any free ones.

You can try using http://picasa.google.com/ for organizing your pictures.
Also, to mass edit pictures, you can use http://www.xnview.org , a program to edit pictures in a easy way.
