In my experience, the most defining trait of those who claim to be Christians is that they are willing to "forgive" criminals and then look the other way as they continue to victimize other people.

That's why I no longer consider myself a Christian.

Those who are unwilling to fight for the rights of others don't deserve them for themselves.

A scribe questioned Jesus ...

> Now one of the scribes that had come up and heard them disputing, knowing that he had answered them in a fine way, asked him: “Which commandment is first of all?” Jesus answered: “The first is, ‘Hear, O Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah, and you must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind and with your whole strength.’ The second is this, ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:28-31 http://www.watchtower.org/bible/index.htm

The possibilities you suggest with your question are Very Superficial, & things that anyone of many religions (many that Don't accept the Bible) can-&-do Regularly. So much more is required of True Christian Worship than superficiality!

none of the above because unsaved can do the same thing too.It is obeying Jehovahs word that makes you a christian. Not only believing in Jesus ,but following his fathers teachings. Jesus didnot leave Heaven to come down in the flesh to just give us a lesson & us sit on our behinds twiddling our thumbs! no no no!
He came down to share his fathers message because he loves us & cares about our eternal life. He wants us to take the teachings he taught & do as Matthew 28 :19-20 says to go out make dsciples, baptizing, & TEACHING."
Not baptize & go home on a comfy couch eating ho ho's(or your snacks here.)
You can not "earn" your way to be a better Christian, after accepting Jesus those whom are true chrisitans would want to put the action into motion . ;-)

Accepting Christ as your personal savior. Doing those things doesn't make you a christian. You have to believe he died to wash away your sins.

And donna, your answer is untrue. You can be the worst person in the world, but if you repent and have God inter into your heart, then you can be a Christian.

Accepting christ as your savior, praying and meditating on the Holy Bible, and doing all the things you listed above, plus a sincere desire to do the things you think his spirit is leading you to do. Real faith should lead to action.

Being a Christian means more than what you listed. When you turn your life around and you live by the bible and you put your faith in GOD and truly believe in him you are a CHRISTIAN. The devil is among all of us including in the churches and they are called hypocrites.

It's simple. the only action is the one-time decision to accept Jesus as the sacrifice that you can't pay for.
