I honestly think that they do, but sometimes they just stay in the relationship because it is comfortable for them and they can't handle the fact that the other person may move on. Frankly it is just being selfish.

its possible. Ive never done that so I wouldnt know but I would say their "guilty conscience" might kick in, at least I hope!
